Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper presented to Information is adequate  to Information  journal but some issues  must be  improved to achieve a publishable paper:

Preliminaries: Authors must add  information about  Multiple attribute group decision making.

Illustrative Example: Authors propose a Logistic problem as an example of application of their  solution, however, the problem  is only solved  with the application of  their  research. This example must be extended to a real world in which authors must add a solution readable by less technical readers.

Point 1: Authors propose a Logistic problem as an example of application of their  solution, however, the problem  is only solved  with the application of  their  research. This example must be extended to a real world in which authors must add a solution readable by less technical readers.

Reviewer 2 Report

Thank you for inviting me as a reviewer for manuscript titled Generalized Hamacher Aggregation Operators for Intuitionistic Uncertain Linguistic Sets: Multiple Attribute Group Decision Making Methods.

This paper presents interesting application of Hamacher and Einstein aggregation operators in group decision making. Presented methodology has a great potential in decision making process, especially in uncertainty environment where all information regarding evaluation criteria are unknown. So, this topic in important for investigation. Authors presented six aggregation operators with intuitionistic linguistic sets: ULGHWA, IULGHOWA, HIULWGA, HIULOWA, HIULOWGA and IULGHHWA operator. Results are good and well presented. In my opinion the paper is almost ready for the publication. Before final acceptance of the paper, authors should revise the paper according below specific comments.

- Remove typos from all text.

- Page 1, line 39,40 – this text should be paraphrased. I can’t understand the point of this sentence.

- Introduction section contains literature review and from methodology part of view I have no problem with that. The authors presents extension of various aggregation operators in uncertainty environments. But, I suggest authors to clearly summarise what specific advantages brings your approach. Please clearly summarise what specific advantages brings your approach.

Also, authors should answer on several questions: Why do you study this? What new brings your MCDM approach? What are advantages of these aggregation operators? What is the aim of this paper?

- In introduction section authors presented a literature review which summarise application of aggregation operators in uncertainty theories. Authors should also refer to below references which are presenting application various uncertainty sets and aggregators in MCDM problems:

A novel approach for the selection of power generation technology using an linguistic neutrosophic combinative... Energies, 11(9), 2489;

Normalized weighted geometric Bonferroni mean operator of interval rough numbers – application in interval rough DEMATEL-COPRAS. FU Mech. Eng. 2018, 16(2), 171-191;

New multi-criteria LNN WASPAS model for evaluating the work of advisors in the transport of hazardous goods. Neural Computing and Applications;

A multicriteria model for the selection of the transport service provider: A single valued neutrosophic DEMATEL multicriteria model. Decision Making: Applications in Management and Engineering, 1 (2), 121-130;

Determining the importance of the criteria of traffic accessibility using fuzzy AHP and rough AHP method. Decision Making: Applications in Management and Engineering, 2(1), 86-104.

- Remove typos from heading of sections, like Section 3.1.

- Since this is a new approach, authors should (for better understanding and future wide implementation in research) use numerical examples after definitions/theorems. Add examples for equations (8)-(11) and other Eqns. Add examples for developed aggregation operators, with details in calculations.

- Line 268, 281 etc. – What is Hammer intuitionistic uncertain linguistic aggregation operator? Introduce this aggregation operator at least in Appendix section.

- Section 5 - authors presented impressive results, but should provide detail calculations for proposed example. Try in a better way to show the results. Kindly explain your proposed approach steps with the numerical example steps. Some calculations should be presented. That will help to the readers to better understanding and future implementation this very innovative approach.

- Please summarise the advantages and limitations of the proposed method in practical applications.

- The authors are urged to give more proof and explanation about the validity or practicability of the proposed method.

I must congratulation to the authors for effort they made and provided results. I will review the final version of the paper with pleasure. Once again, congrats to the Authors.

Author Response

Response to Reviewer 2 Comments

Point 1: Remove typos from all text.

Response 1: We have checked the full text and removed typos.

Point 2: Introduction section contains literature review and from methodology part of view I have no problem with that.

Response 2: The existing aggregation operators for intuitionistic uncertain linguistic sets are mostly based on algebraic t-norm and s-norm. However, in the existing literature few authors have done some research on the MAGDM problems under intuitionistic uncertain linguistic environment based on Hamacher operations. For this purpose, the text presents an approach to MAGDM based on some generalized Hamacher aggregation operators for intuitionistic uncertain linguistic sets. And the prominent advantages of intuitionistic uncertain linguistic variables showed in the second paragraph of 1 Introduction.

Point 3: In introduction section authors presented a literature review which summarise application of aggregation operators in uncertainty theories. Authors should also refer to below references which are presenting application various uncertainty sets and aggregators in MCDM problems:

Response 3: We added the valuable references in the revised manuscript and the corresponding labeling in the 1 introduction.

Point 4: Section 5 - authors presented impressive results, but should provide detail calculations for proposed example. Try in a better way to show the results. Kindly explain your proposed approach steps with the numerical example steps. Some calculations should be presented. That will help to the readers to better understanding and future implementation this very innovative approach.

Response 4: The detailed calculation process, please see the 5. Illustrative example and discussion including 5.1 and 5.2. The method of calculation is according to the 4. An approach to MAGDM based on generalized Hamacher operator with intuitionistic uncertain linguistic information.

Point 5: Please summarise the advantages and limitations of the proposed method in practical applications.

Response 5: Based on Hamacher operations, we develop Hamacher aggregation operators, which generalized the arithmetic aggregation operators and geometric aggregation operators and extended the algebraic aggregation operators and Einstein aggregation operators. Some special cases of the two operators with respect to the parameters be discussed in detail. We develop the intuitionistic uncertain linguistic generalized Hamacher hybrid weighted average operator to reflect the importance degrees of both the given intuitionistic uncertain linguistic variables and their ordered positions.
