In the original publication (Sant 2026), (Sant 2025) was not cited. The citation has now been inserted in Note 1, added in the title of Section 1, Introduction:

1. Introduction1

1 This article forms part of a longer-term scholarly investigation. In a previous publication (Sant 2025), the author examined the institutional development of the Renaissance papacy, using Cesare Borgia as a case study. The present article instead focuses on Cesare Borgia’s personal political trajectory, with particular emphasis on his relationship with France and the papacy, and on the application of the concept of ‘two-faced Janus’ to his role as a political actor. While the two works address related subject matter, they pursue different research questions and follow distinct analytical approaches; any convergence reflects their shared historical focus and provides complementary context.
Additionally, the following entry should be included in the reference list:
Sant, Jordan. 2025. Between Papal and Dynastic Power: The Case of Cesare Borgia and the Papacy of Alexander VI. Memoria y Civilización 28: 9–38. https://doi.org/10.15581/001.28.1.001.
With this correction, the order of some notes and references has been adjusted accordingly.
The author states that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
