Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

1. The abstract of this academic paper requires further revision. It is recommended that the authors include a clear statement highlighting the significance and contribution of their research work. Additionally, the level of detail regarding the research methods, results, and conclusions should be improved. Specifically, the elaboration of the conclusions lacks clarity and should be revised.

2. The last paragraph of the introduction, specifically lines 123-129, does not effectively convey the distinctions and advancements of the research conducted in this paper when compared to previous studies. The authors should provide a comprehensive list of these differences and innovations.

3. For Section 1.1 Midway 1 (a), the front view expression is not standardized. Please adhere strictly to the definition of three-view drawing The font used for the power transmission roadmap in Figure 3 of section 1.2 is not standardized; it is too small and unclear. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust its size accordingly The axis of the surface in Figure 5 in section 3.1 is not specified. Therefore, please make the necessary changes to indicate the axis.

4. Section 2.2.2 discusses working conditions across slope trenches. However, since field trials have not been verified, it is necessary to remove this section accordingly.

5. Sections 5.2 and 5.3 of the study outline the test conditions. However, the current description is unclear. To enhance clarity, it is recommended to utilize the passage capacity of the agricultural crawler tractor. of "tractor design manual" as a guiding resource for determining the test conditionsIncluding climbing degree, vertical obstacle height, and trench width.

6.The height of the drive wheel arrangement in the parameters of the whole machine significantly impacts the chassis passability. However, the dimension of the drive wheel height is not mentioned in the text. Thus, it is recommended to include the whole machine drive wheel height in Table 1.

7. The references in this academic paper are inadequately written, with incomplete lines for each reference. References 7, 14, 17, 22, and 24 are outdated and should be revised.

Reply: Thank you very much for your comments and professional advice, Based on your suggestions, we have made adjustments in the manuscript accordingly. In the field test, when the slope exceeded 40° and the obstacle height surpassed 250 mm, the performance of the chassis in climbing over obstacles declined. This data is indicated by yellow markings in Table 2, which records the modifications made.
