Reviewer 2 Report

In this paper, the authors propose an improved DV-hop localization algorithm where a cyclotomic method is used in the scheme. Some suggestions should be considered seriously.

1. The language needs improving where typos and grammar issues appear in the paper.

2. The motivation of the paper is not demonstrated well. For instance, in the introduction, the authors claimed that the ranging error takes place when directly using the hop distances instead of straight-line distances. And then the authors announce the contribution. No conclusion of the current research. Although the authors took a survey for the DV-HOP localization method, the drawbacks of the current methods are not mentioned. Without the conclusion and discussion, how the authors said ”From the above reviews, there is still room for improvement regarding the localization error.”

3. The authors did not demonstrate the communication radius, how the eq. (23) can be calculated?

4. The authors claimed that the distance between two nodes is calculated by the power of the received signal. What are the corresponding parameters in the simulations?

5. So many problems in the manuscript including the parameters explanation, language, and most importantly, the idea. After checking the idea of the cyclotomic method in DV-hop localization, the reviewer feels so frustrated deeply. The paper is almost a copy one, how it can pass the plagiarism detection. Please take an explanation that the difference of the manuscript compared with the paper ”Effect of Sensor Nodes Amount on DV-Hop Localization Accuracy in Wireless Sensor Networks” in volume 22, in CVR Journal of Science and Technology? The reviewer deeply doubts the results of Figures, which are almost completely same. So does the idea, albeit the authors use the WRLS to figure out the location.
