Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The paper is interesting but need to clearer in terms of goal and results. In general, the graphics are bad, and the language are polluted as (seen above, see below, etc...) it's not common in academic text. The goal needs to better declared and title are changed. But the article have publication potential.

the paper is interesting but can be improved. Some small corrections are reported in the attached file, and for me the paper is accepted after minor revisions.

Author Response

Dear reviewer,

Thank you very much for your detailed revision and useful comments. We have followed and implemented all the suggestions, included those related to figures. We agree that two samples are not enough for a characterization of lithologies. However, this paper was meant as a pilot study to see if it was worthwhile to continue the investigations. From the results, we think that we can continue with the sampling and the application of methodologies, to get a better view and get to more concrete conclusions.

We believe that, with your help, the paper has been improved.

Thank you very much.
