Magnetic Levitation Actuation and Motion Control System with Active Levitation Mode Based on Force Imbalance
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
In this paper, the author proposed to develop a magnetic levitation actuation and motion control system with active levitation mode. A neural network proportion-integration-differentiation (PID) controller is designed for active actuation, and a force imbalance principle is built for the step motion mode. The research design is appropriate, and the results are clearly precented. I would recommend its publication in Applied Science.
Minor comments
1. In Figure 7, the font size should be increased.
2. Equation number for line 263-269 is missing.
3. I suggest put time on Figure 14.
4. In Figure 15, I suggest the author use different line color to distinguish the planning trajectory and real-time position.

The paper presents an interesting topic of magnetic levitation. Unfortunately, the paper must be improved before publication. My remarks are following:
1. The introduction doesn’t introduce the magnetic levitation system. Until now there was a lot of publication concerning levitating balls that should be mentioned.
2. Authors should compare their research with different papers concerning similar work.
3. In Equation (4) should be s2 instead of s2.
