Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The manuscript deals with the evaluation of nine algorithms for pressure wave detection using measured data from real applications. In general, this topic falls within the aim and scope of Applied Science Journal.

In addition to that, the paper is well-structured and the presented information and findings are of significant interest to the engineers and researchers in the field. Thus, I can recommend this article for publication after a minor revision.

The authors should revise lines 41, 67, 205, 231, 238, 251, 282, 287, 299, 304, 310, 320, 326, 406, 412, 413, 431, 455, 469, 470, 482, 492, 503, 505, 511, 515, 517, 574, 599, and Table 6 and update the writing style of the involved references to exclude from the text the following error message: “Error! Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript "Application and optimization of pressure wave evaluation algorithms based on measurement data" is a very extensive research material based on real objects. The obtained research results are very interesting and can certainly be used by interested institutions. The manuscript contains scientific and practical aspects in a very interesting way. However, it requires a minor correction / clarification, namely:

  1. Is the number of failure cases sufficient to verify the algorithms? Was statistical planning of the experiment carried out?
  2. The algorithms in Table 2 should be given in mathematical equations.
  3. References are to be made in Table 2 for models 6-9.

Reviewer 3 Report

The authors provide solutions of the model describing application and optimization of algorithms for pressure wave evaluation based on measurement data. I feel that it would be intriguing part for the readers.

Overall the work conducted is worthy of publication in high quality journal. My specific points about this paper can be found below:

Add more information for Figure 1 in the introduction section.

Figure 2 considered should be referenced. Is there any specific reason for assuming such process?

Improve the quality of the paper by fixing some typos errors.

More discussion on the novelty of the article should be added to conclusions section.

Some recent studies of Applied Sciences should be cited at appropriate places.

I believe that the above changes will certainly add value to already well documented contribution by the authors.
