Intelligent Construction and Management of Landscapes through Building Information Modeling and Mixed Reality
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Overall, this study demonstrated an interesting approach to providing intelligent construction and management of landscape using BIM and mixed reality. The authors should consider the following suggestions to further improve the manuscript.
1. Introduction:
The introduction does not have any cited work. This is important to support the assertions in this section. Hence the authors are advised to review the introduction and cite appropriate relevant references.
2. Communication:
The quality of communication in the paper is good. The authors should consider the following to improve the readability of the paper.
1. Line 18 - it is mixed reality not ‘mix reality’
2. Line 137 - kindly change ‘..helpful improve..’ to ‘helpful in improving’.
3. Line 192-193 - This sentence ‘Before planting the plant model in Revit, combining CAD, Excel, and Dynamo visual programming tools based on Revit, using programming to replace mechanical repetitive modeling work.’ is unclear. Kindly clarify.
4. Line 231 - ‘In the maintenance stage of landscape, the application of BIM enables engineers to avoid chaotic and trivial data manual based on two-dimensional.’ This sentence seems incomplete, ‘two dimensional what??’ model? Drawing??
5. Line 297 - ‘So as to realize the accurate traceability of plant maintenance information, improve the ornamental effect and economic benefits of the landscape, and promote the high-quality development of the landscape.’ This sentence is unclear. Kindly break down the sentence to mprove its clarity.
3. Results and Discussion:
1. What are the attributes of plants modeled in the selected case study? E.g the name, type, … etc.
2. Kindly provide some information on the project collaborators’ demographics. For example, who were the collaborators on this project? E.g were they architects, landscape engineers, or project managers? How many of them? Any information on their years of experience?
3. It is important to get some usability feedback from the project collaborators. For example, how did the model benefit the project collaborators in carrying out their professional duties on this project? Was there feedback on the usability of the application? How has the application helped to enhance the plant development and management of the case study’s landscape?
For example, in Line 422: the authors stated that In summary, the integrated use of BIM and MR for construction and management of landscapes could help to improve 1) the level of collaboration among multiple participants, and 2) the quality of plant construction and management, but provided no evidence on how it helped.
4. Since the application was implemented, can the authors provide an image of the collaborators wearing the HoloLens and interacting with the projection of the virtual models on the real/physical landscape?

Reviewer 2 Report
The paper proposes an intelligent construction and management framework for plant modelling, model updating and designing a real-time data transmission method for plants` coordination and maintenance.
The obtained results successfully validate the proposed model and the conclusions are well stated.
Remark: Could you describe in detail the Figure 6?
