Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This study will be an important contribution to the food industry and has been performed in a detailed manner, looking at several important nutritional aspects. However, the writing is not of scientific standard and the English is very poorly in places.

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript submitted for review is well written and the results are presented in a logical and coherent manner. The paper is adequately organized and the topic is interesting and focuses on the elicitor effects of chitooligosaccharide on nutritional improvement of germinated soybean.

Although the manuscript is well-edited, however small improvements should be introduced that will improve its quality:

  1. Line 178 is not needed, the fact that there is something shown in the chart describes the caption for the chart. It is unnecessary to repeat this information in the text.
  2. Tables 1 and 2 must be formatted because cannot see their full content
  3. I suggest reformatting Figure 4. so as to compare similar values of DPPH and hydroxyl separately, i.e. one graph comparing DPPH for all three chitooligosaccharide molecular weights (i.e. 1, 2 and 3 kDa) and on the other analogically for hydroxyl (for three molecular weights of chitooligosaccharide too).
  4. It will also be necessary to format in accordance with the model for the MDPI publishing template.
