Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article „Analysis of the influence of age stages on static plantar pressure indicators for Karate Do practitioners.” is interesting and worth publishing, however some aspects have to be explained and corrected. The meaning of research should be underlined better especially in the introduction part and conclusions. The parts of the paper need revision and clarification or modifications (see detailed info below).

Title of the article
Due to the small number of respondents in individual research groups, I suggest adding in the title - preliminary report

Introduction
The meaning of research should be underlined better.

Material and methods
Based on what test was the lower limb dominance determined? Please add this literature item in the text.

The statistical analysis of data
I do not understand why in the description of the statistical tests commonly used in publications in this article the authors quote their publications?

Results
Conclusions should not duplicate the results. Please edit them.
The meaning of research should be underlined better.

 Limits of the study
The limitation in these studies is also the lack of consideration of the position of the ala of ilium, sacroiliac joints and the length of the lower limbs. These factors may also determine the way the lower limbs are loaded.

I  would like to invite you to consult and refer to the Journal’s articles on your Bibliography if there are some references pertinent with your topic.

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

We have added a preliminary report in the title, as suggested.

Introduction
The meaning of research should be underlined better.

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

The significance of the research is highlighted in the introduction / paragraph 2, which identifies the role and advantages of using the baropodometric platform. Other sources have been added that support the importance of planetary pressure analysis in sports, recovery and other areas of investigation: 8,9,10,12,13,16.

Material and methods
Based on what test was the lower limb dominance determined? Please add this literature item in the text.

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

The Harris test (sources 33,34) was used, based on kicking the ball and kicking / jumping to identify the dominant foot.

The statistical analysis of data
I do not understand why in the description of the statistical tests commonly used in publications in this article the authors quote their publications?

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

Reference 44 was introduced in the statistical analysis to justify the absence of data comparison between the dominated leg vs. the non-dominant one for the whole lot in the evaluated paper. In this study there is this analysis and it can be consulted as complementary material to our research.

Results
Conclusions should not duplicate the results. Please edit them.
The meaning of research should be underlined better.

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

The conclusions were modified and completed in order to synthesize the relevant data and present the manner in which the 3 working hypotheses are or are not confirmed / validated. The first paragraph refers to the significance of the research.

 Limits of the study
The limitation in these studies is also the lack of consideration of the position of the ala of ilium, sacroiliac joints and the length of the lower limbs. These factors may also determine the way the lower limbs are loaded.

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

The limits of the study have been completed with the ideas provided by you, as well as new research directions related to the study of plantar pressure.

The recommended source was included and we found other studies that refer to the studied issue: 60,61,64,65,66,71,72.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article title "Analysis of the influence of age stages on static plantar pressure indicators for Karate-Do practitioners" shows us a small group of children and teenagers how their static plantar pressure changes during Karate-Do training.
I think that idea of this article is good, authors would like to know what happened during training with for example plantar surface areas, location of the pressure center, weight distribution on each foot et.c.
The main problem is that the group is too small and no control group- maybe this difference in measurements is because of age??? The authors should find some articles on how static plantar pressure looks like in children/teenagers who didn't train any sport.

Conclusions look like summary, the author/s introduce 3 hypothesis but conclusions aren’t so clear

204- the indication

652- the aspect

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

Most scientific articles investigate plantar pressure on groups of athletes from different branches and disciplines by age groups. Other studies are investigating how these values may identify or be associated with disease. We did not find studies for non-athletes at this age range, they are only for adults, and reference no. 20 is a good example, but we cannot compare / report our data to this standard. Reference 60 makes a comparison between footballers and unsportsmanlike students regarding the data related to plantar pressure, but their age does not fall within the age range of the group we studied. Introductory and discussion studies have also been added / analyzed (8,9,10,12,13,16,60,61,64,65,66,71,72), but they address groups of athletes or people with disabilities , groups of sedentary elderly, the influence of stretching types on plantar pressure, new directions and advantages offered by baropodometric examination. The fact that plantar pressure is also due to other factors / individual anthropometric data and factors related to joint biomechanics (body mass, height, lower limb length, value of joint angles and possible deficiencies in the knees and spine, etc.) was mentioned as a limit. of the study undertaken.

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

The conclusions were completed with information regarding the relationship of the data obtained with the refutation or confirmation of the 3 working hypotheses formulated.

652- the aspect

Answer: Thank you for your comments.

The indicated words have been corrected.

All changes in the paper are operated in blue to make it easier to identify.

Round 2

Reviewer 2 Report

Thank you very much for the changes, now conclusions are more clear.
I propose to make research on children/teenagers of the same age in the future.
Please look at the references before publication- technical changes.
