- The interpretation of the abandoned floodplain relies on the sequences regional slope towards the incised channel and channel belt (Figure 9) and the absence of higher topographical levees, in addition to the over-bank presence.
- The presence of transgressive seismic facies in the valley with draping point bar deposits of the channel and onlapping the walls’ valley indicates confinement, possibly associated with an estuary environment.
