Comments and Suggestions for Authors

It may be valuable to examine the relationship between family cohesion and specific addictions in college students and to verify whether mindfulness and anxiety sequentially mediate this relationship. With some improvements in the manuscript writing, this paper could be considered for publication in an academic journal. Here are some things I would like to see improved:

  1. The concept of information addiction still seems unclear. Please describe it appropriately so that readers can understand its negative aspects.
  2. Please provide a more persuasive rationale for the mediating pathways.
  3. The explanation of the scales used in this study needs to be more specific. The validity of the scales needs to be further explained.
  4. I don't understand why gender and age were included in the correlation analysis table. Also, skewness and kurtosis should be presented in rows below.
  5. Since the statistical program was explained in the research methods section, there's no need to describe it again in the results section.
  6. Please present the results of the mediation analysis using the PROCESS Macro in a table that follows the proper format.
  7. In the results section, please include the standardized coefficients and beta values and present a mediation model diagram.
  8. In the discussion section, please provide more specific academic and clinical implications.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The title of point 1 is unclear. This title coincides with the title of the article. It should be changed.

The topic is interesting from the point of view of its relevance to COVID-19. From the point of view of its relevance to the present day, it needs better justification. It would be important to update the article to reflect the current situation in order to justify its academic and social relevance today. I believe this is entirely possible, it just needs to be framed in this way.

The justification of the hypotheses could be updated from a literature perspective. Most of the publications cited are from 2020 or earlier.

The sample size is statistically valid. For the relationship between several variables, a more in-depth study, based on a more complete sociodemographic portrait, would be important.

It would be interesting to address the limitations of the study and future recommendations.

Overall, the article is interesting and may have a relevant public impact. However, it would be important to improve the points mentioned.
