Trade and Labor-Allocation: Evidence from Sectoral Embodied Labor Transfer between China and Africa
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe objective of this paper is to focus on members of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC), compute and analyze the sectoral embodied labor transfer between China and Africa from 2000 to 2015 based on the Multiregional Input-Output Method. This is an interesting topic, and the paper is fairly well written, though there are a few grammatical and typographical errors.
The paper investigates an important and timely topic. Though there is no separate section for review of literature, authors have included most of the important studies in the introduction section. Authors have also explained well the methodology and data. The methodology used is suitable for a study of this nature. However, since some of the readers may not be very familiar with the Multiregional Input-Output Method, the authors could include a structure of the model perhaps in the Appendix of the paper.
The results of the paper are not presented clearly and analyzed appropriately. The conclusions adequately tie together the other elements of the paper. However, authors have not compared the findings of this study with that of previous studies.
Comments on the Quality of English LanguageThe quality of English language is good.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsCongratulations on your article, which exemplifies a high scientific standard. The paper's structure is robust, and the authors adeptly address a compelling issue with precision and comprehensiveness. The chosen research method is fitting, and the conclusions drawn are both logical and reflective of the conducted research.
The future resolution of international workflows will be paramount, especially considering the anticipated rapid population growth in Africa, the increasing influence of China and Russia in the region, and the depopulation trends observed in Europe. Therefore, I am pleased that the research conducted in this domain maintains a commendable scientific level.
While the paper could benefit from a slightly broader contextualization of the examined issue, I trust the authors in making such decisions.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThis paper reflects a tremendous amount of work. it is carefully done. I recommend publication as it is, after the authors have one more check of the language in the paper. I do not have time to make detailed suggestions. This paper will raise the quality of the journal.
