Fascinating topic, very well executed

We thank the reviewer for their review. Following discussions with the academic editor, we implemented a few changes to the final version. We have fixed the source page numbers and incomplete reference issues. We also removed the first paragraph of the conclusion. We added a precision when introducing neural networks to emphasize them as mere approximations of biological neural networks.

We thank the reviewer for taking the time to read our paper in depth and for their insightful review. They have raised a number of important issues with our paper. The academic editor suggested to implement a few minor changes, including fixing the references, which we did. We also added a word about existing discussions on the topic of machine creativity through Anantrasirichai & Bull (2021) as suggested by the reviewer. Concerning the introduction of definitions for technical terms (eg. supervised/unsupervised) the academic editor was confident that the typical reader of this paper would already be reasonably well up to date on these developments and recommended not to expand the text further by adding definitions.
