This manuscript is a resubmission of an earlier submission. The following is a list of the peer review reports and author responses from that submission.

Round  1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is poorly written. The english is terrible. As an example, this is the first sentence of paper (in the abstract):": this paper, the effects of B, Ti-Nb, and Ti-Nb-B microalloying on the microstructure and 8 properties of Coarse Grain Heat Affected Zone (CGHAZ) of C-Mn-Si-Mo wear-resistant steel have 9 been investigated by means of thermal simulation, mechanical property test, microstructure 10 analysis, JMatpro software, and theoretical formula calculation.." It is very hard to understand. Figure 1,2,3 and 4 are not acceptable. In addition, I  would recommend to the authors to double check the solubility limits expression and give them in term of composition (molar fraction).  The JMATPRO calculations are not clear at all and probably incorrect.

I would simply recomand the rejection of this manuscript.

Reviewer 3 Report

Reviewer’s comments are as follows.

                                                                (m): Mandatory Revision

                                                                 (o): Optional Revision

(1)   (o) Title

ü  In general, we do not use the abbreviation in the paper title, in spite of well-known abbreviation.

(2)   (m) Abstract.

        ü  L 7: please delete “this paper”.

ü  L 11: CR+DQ+T -> controlled rolling + direct quenching + low temperature

ü  L 11: M/B -> martensite/bainite. “B” is used as the abbreviation of boron.

  ü L 13: Is an unit of 20 kJ/cm correct ?

(3)   (o) Table 2

ü  Please change into Figure from Table because readers easily understand CR+DQ+T process.

(4)   (m) Table 4

ü  1, 2, 3 -> #1, #2, #3

ü  What are 20°CAkv(J), J1, J2 and J3 ?

(5)   (m) LL76-92

ü  Are these sentences needed. If so, authors should show microstructure after rolling and quenching.

(6)   (m) LL 102-116.

ü  It is impossible to understand from micrographs in Fig. 2.

(7)   (m) Figure 4

ü  Was the sample of Figure 4 prepared by extraction replica method. If so, please add the explanation.

(8)   (m) Equations (1) to (5)

ü  lg -> log or ln.

(9)   (m) Equations (6) and (7)

ü  What is “0” in [(N – 0 - 0.002) - Ti/5] ?

(10) (m) Figure 5

ü  A letter in this Figure is too small to read.

(11) (m) Conclusions

ü  Author should consider the results described in Discussion.

(12) (m) References

ü  Please follow the instructions in the manual of metals.

                                                                   That’s all
