Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

2) 1) It would be more appropriate to have a schematic to show the forging cycles.

Also it would be more interesting to add a post heat treatment and show the effect heat treatment on the ductility and grain size

3) It is not clear what is the originality of this work?

Author Response

Dear Reviewer:

Thank you for the comments concerning our manuscript entitled: Changes of microstructures and mechanical properties in commercially pure titanium after different cycles of proposed multi-directional forging. Those comments are all valuable and very helpful for revising and improving our paper,  as well as the important guiding significance to our researches. We have studied comments carefully and have made correction which we hope meet with approval. The corrections in the paper and the responds to your comments are as following:

  Comments and responds:

2) 1) It would be more appropriate to have a schematic to show the forging cycles.

Also it would be more interesting to add a post heat treatment and show the effect heat treatment on the ductility and grain size.

Respond: Your suggestions are very good, but the proposed MDF ia based on the schematics in some references [4-10] but additional machining. The effect heat treament on the ductility and grain size is interesting, we will study it in the future.

3) It is not clear what is the originality of this work?

Respond: Fabricate about 200 nm grain size of ultrafine grained CP Ti and reveal the grain refinement mechanism of MDFed CP Ti by multiple charactrerizations.

Special thanks to you for your good comments.
