There are some tiny editorial remarks:

Please check correctness of grammar

for instance: line 83/84 should be changed to "...synthetic soil solutions called NS1, NS2, NS3, NS4 and NOVA have been used..."

Please use the same fonts (either serif or non serif) within the tables (see Tab. 1 and 2).

Tab.1: Enlarge Nb column a bit, so that "0.1" fits in one line

Fig. 3: Please brighten some of the darker photographs in order to increase the readability when printing in b/w.

Line 402 should be changed to "generating atomic H and increase the susceptibility..."
