Reviewer 1

The manuscripts weaknesses:

-Table 2 s not easy to read,

Response to Reviewer: We added an explanation of the parameters in Table 2 at the bottom of the table.

- Table 7 is not clear. Table 7 - it is not clear why it is a sequence of bar: 4-3-3. Underline it in text or in Figure.

Response to Reviewer: Sorry, our manuscript only has five tables, it has no Table 7. So On this comment, I cannot revise it according to the reviewer's comment. Please explain it again. Thank you.

Table 1 is not easy to read (column „Lithologic”).

Response to Reviewer: We further annotated and explained the points in Table 1 as shown in Figure 4, and explained the lithology in Table 1.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear authors, please pay attention to these suggestions.

- It is a good research work. Congrats¡

- The abstract is not well written: they should first describe the objective of the work and then explain the main results and conclusions. Shorter and better explained.

- Figure 2 is not of sufficient quality.

- the discussion is correct and well structured, and the conclusions clearly stated.

Reviewer 3

  1. Line 28 – sentence is abrupted.

Response to Reviewer: We have revised it.

  1. Line 140 – I suppose that mentioned Linkam heating-cooling stage is THMS 600.

Response to Reviewer: We have revised it.

  1. Line 147 – …the diameter of laser beam spot was 90m? Please correct the diameter.

Response to Reviewer: We have corrected it.

  1. Line 167-168 – … which is equipped with 20×, 50× and 100× long-focus objectives…

All objectives in your micro-Raman system are long-working distance?

Response to Reviewer: We have corrected it.

  1. What laser power was used during the experiments?

Response to Reviewer: At line 167 we wrote the power of the laser. We use a 532 nm green laser within 200–500 mW output power.

  1. Can you determine the spectral resolution of the Raman system for 300 gr/mm and 1800 gr/mm gratings?

Response to Reviewer: The 300 grating and 1800 grating are mainly used for qualitative analysis of materials, and the resolution is ≤1 cm-1. The instrument model is LabRAM HR Evolution.

  1. How the calibration of the Raman system is done? I mean Raman shift.

Response to Reviewer: By collecting the Raman characteristic peaks of neon lamp and inclusions, and then calculating the real Raman shift of inclusions according to the real Raman shift of neon lamp, please refer to the literature for details:

Kim, S.B., Hammaker, R.M., Fateley, W.G., 1986. Calibrating Raman spectrometers using a neon lamp. Appl. Spectrosc. 40, 412–415.

  1. What is accuracy of LA-ICP MS method in determination of REE content?

Response to Reviewer: Internal precision (2SE) = 0.000010-0.000020 (0.01 ‰ -0.03 ‰, 2RSE), accuracy better than 0.000020 (-0.03 ‰). Please refer to the literature for details:

Zong, K.Q., Klemd, R., Yuan, Y., He, Z.Y., Guo, J.L., Shi, X.L., Liu, Y.S., Hu, Z.C., Zhang, Z.M., 2017. The assembly of Rodinia: The correlation of early Neoproterozoic (ca. 900 Ma) high-grade metamorphism and continental arc formation in the southern Beishan Orogen, southern Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB). Precambrian Research, 290, 32–48.

  1. Page 12, Fig. 9 – please complete units in figures A and B (vertical axis).

Response to Reviewer: We have completed it.

  1. Page 13, Fig. 10A – Do you know what is the reason of fluorescence/luminescence background in the spectrum?

Response to Reviewer: Calcite minerals have fluorescence, and there are also some minerals with strong fluorescence in rock pores. At the same time, glue also has fluorescence in the process of slice production, which all may cause the background to produce strong fluorescence signals.

  1. Page 13, Fig. 10C – The position of CH4 stretching vibration is about 3200 cm-1, that is about 300 cm-1 more as compared to the same vibration in Fig. 10A. Is it correct assignment? If so, what is the reason for that? In figures B and D the position of that band is similar.

Response to Reviewer: The Raman shift of methane under the 300 grating is in the range of 2910-2917 cm-1, and the horizontal axis of graph C is wrong during replication. Sorry, we have revised graph C. The horizontal axis range of Figure C is larger than that of Figure A because we choose a multi-window acquisition mode. Here is the explanation.

  1. Raman spectra analysis, lines 319-330 – in my opinion the spectral resolution of the system for = 532 nm and 1800 gr/mm grating is in the range 1 – 2 cm-1. I do not know what is the slit of the spectrograph because it is also important. In the text you discuss changes with accuracy 0.01 cm-1. It is much less than spectral resolution of the system. The explanation is needed.

Response to Reviewer: Taking LabRAM HR Evolution instrument as an example, the resolution of the spectrum under 1800 grating is ≤ 1 cm-1. The resolution of the instrument refers to the ability to distinguish the spectra of two substances, rather than accuracy. The shift quantification of the spectrum is mainly dependent on the stability of the wave number. The stability of the 1800 grating is ≤ 0.03 cm-1, which meets the quantitative requirements. At present, a large number of articles on the quantitative model of inclusions have been published, and some literatures are listed as follows:

  1. General remark – there are some editorial and language mistakes in the text of the manuscript. Authors should read and correct the manuscript carefully in this regard.

Response to Reviewer: We have revised the editorial and language of the whole manuscript.
