  • Error in Table
In the original publication [1], there was a mistake in Table 4 as published. The significance level and coefficient of the social participation variable (0.134 ***) was incorrect. The correct value is 0.134 **.
In the original publication, there was a mistake in Table 5 as published. The significance levels (the coefficient column in Table 5) of the forest land slope variable (0.244 ***), total annual family income variable (−0.002 *), non-agricultural income share variable (0.609 ***), distance from county government variable (0.038 **), average altitude variable (−0.004 **) and traffic and recreational equipment variable (0.041 *) were incorrect. The correct values are 0.244 **, −0.002, 0.609 **, 0.038 *, −0.004 * and 0.041.
  • Text Correction
There was an error in the original publication.
Due to errors in the results of Table 4 of the original publication, the text that needs to be modified is as follows:
Abstract and Section 4.2 (Results of Random-Effect Regression Models).
The corrected text is shown below:
Abstract: (2) Among statistically significant (p < 0.01) factors at the farmer level, social trust (β = 0.305) has positive effects on the economic-incentive strategy; the number of pieces of communication and entertainment equipment has a positive effect on the willingness to participate in the command-control strategy in living (β = 0.287) and command-control strategy in farming (β = 0.336).
Section 4.2: Finally, farmers’ WTA is positively affected by social trust (β = 0.305, p < 0.01) and social participation (β = 0.134, p < 0.05). This may be because a higher degree of social trust and social participation helps us to understand the economic-incentive strategy of surrounding farmers to participate, such as farmers in reservoir areas and fishermen.
The authors state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected. This correction was approved by the Academic Editor. The original publication has also been updated.
