Line 196. Place m3 m-3 as a superscript

Line 220. Place 4.60 m2 m-2 in January, to drop to 4.25 m2 m-2 in superscript form

In figures 9 and 10, place the legends of the axes in English (Precipitation and temperature) and the variables of figure 10

Lines 432 and 472 place in CO2 subindex

Improve the editing and presentation of figures 11, 12 and 14 (font and size, resolution, borders, tick marks)

It is suggested to improve and expand the discussion in a comprehensive manner according to the variables evaluated, incorporating more references that support the statements or reasoning. Likewise, improve the conclusions according to the order of the variables evaluated and findings reported.

- We improve a better conclusion with mor details, and discussed some results based on references that avaliated the same area of our study

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear Authors,

I reviewed the manuscript and I see that the topic is interesting with excellent way for exploring the results especially in showing the limitation and future work. I just have few points for the manuscript to be ready for publication:

1 - In line 50, either put [5; 8] or just [8].

2 - Check the scale of figure 13b as it is supposed that ET hourly data to be higher than the monthly mean.

3 - In line 535 and 543, replace the cited names with numbers and then correct the reference list.

You really made a good job. Congratulations.

Best Regards

Answers:

1 the numbering of references has been corrected

2 the legend of figure b was inserted to avoid doubts regarding the scale

3 the names mentioned by numbers have been changed

The study “Interannual variability of water and heat fluxes in a woodland savanna (Cerrado) in southeast Brazil: effects of drought and soil moisture” investigates surface energy fluxes by analyzing the role of soil moisture on these fluxes. The manuscript is thorough, encompassing the procedures and outcomes in detail. It provides comprehensive experimental details and scientific outcomes for the study topic. I recommend accepting the study in its present form with minor modification in the abstract that fails to cover the major outcomes of the study and should discuss the results in a more effective manner.
