Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors investigated the expression patterns for glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta (GSK3beta) in Diannan small-ear pig testes after identifying the most relevant transcript.  The gene was chromosome mapped and protein structure was analyzed. Additionally, the regulatory network analysis of GSK3beta identified up to 50 proteins that potentially interact with GSK3beta.  The data will contribute to a body of evidence that will facilitate future research.  A couple of minor editing in the text is noted.

1. Fig 2a is too small and difficult to read

2. The acronym ST was not defined in the text.

Author Response

1. We would like to thank Reviewer 1 for his/her suggestion. We've improved the Fig2a.

2. We would like to thank Reviewer 1 for his/her suggestion. We've modified the acronym of ST.

Reviewer 2 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Abstract: In line 31, what are the full form of ST-cells?

Introduction: Paragraph 2 looked bit unnecessarily long, if possible authors can shortened it.

Material and methods: in this part section 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 were in active voice and rest of the sections are in passive voice. Authors can perform minor change and made them all same.

Results: this part is very thorough and thus, no comments.

Discussion: authors did a long discussion about the gene/protein and its activity but it will be better if they include their results and discuss them thoroughly.

Author Response

1. We would like to thank Reviewer 2 for his/her suggestion. We've modified the acronym of ST In line 31. 2. We would like to thank Reviewer 2 for his/her suggestion. We've shortened paragraph 2 in the introduction part. 3. We would like to thank Reviewer 2 for his/her suggestion. We have revised all seven sections of the materials and methods into the active voice.
