Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The reviewed article The Role of Nanoparticle CatalySis in the Nylon Production presents the results of the role of nanocaaste catalysis in nylon synthesis. The article is very highly both substantive and research. Each of the presented parts of the article was developed and presented in a very legible way. The whole worker is coherent, closely related and presents the results of high scientific value. To sum up, each part of the publication has been described in detail, the charts presented, the diagrams are very readable for recipients. The conclusions are consistent and closely related to the topic of research. As a reviewer of this work, I will not pay any comments. I believe that the authors have exhausted all topics in the reviewed work.

Reviewer 2 Report

Comments to the Author

The authors reported an interesting work about “The role of nanoparticle catalysis in the nylon production”. The prepared catalysts were characterized in an effective way. In all, this study is interesting and meaningful. It can be recommended to be published after revisions.

1.     Authors should label the name of the catalyst in UV-vis spectrum (image itself) (Fig. S2 & S3).

2.     Authors should include JCPDS pattern in each XRD analysis.

3.     Authors should follow the IUPAC system to mention the name of the chemical structure (e.g. cis, trans).

4.     Can include more appropriate keywords in the abstract section.

5.     There are some grammatical errors occurred throughout the manuscript.

Reply: We thank the Reviewer for her/his comment.

  1. Authors should label the name of the catalyst in UV-vis spectrum (image itself) (Fig. S2 & S3).

Reply: We followed the suggestion and we modified the figures S2 and S3 in the Supplementary material.

  1. Authors should include JCPDS pattern in each XRD analysis.

Reply: We included the patterns of metal-state Rh and Ru (performed by Match! software with the crystallography open database, COD 2020) into the figures S4 and S7 in the Supplementary material.

  1. Authors should follow the IUPAC system to mention the name of the chemical structure (e.g. cis, trans).

Reply: We added the IUPAC names of our substrates and products when we mentioned them for the first time in the Introduction section. For brevity and for simplicity, in the rest of the text, we used the traditional names (adipic, succinic, fumaric, maleic and cis,cis- and trans,trans-muconic acids). However, we are ready to change throughout the article, if the Reviewer or the Editor prefer.

  1. Can include more appropriate keywords in the abstract section.

Reply: We agree with the Reviewer and we added three appropriate keywords.

  1. There are some grammatical errors occurred throughout the manuscript.

Reply: We checked and reviewed the whole text, correcting several errors.
