Development of a Tool for Determining the Equivalence of Nutritional Supplements to Diabetic Food Exchanges
Highlights
- An electronic database with 461 products was generated (energy and macronutrients).
- An Excel-based tool was created to determine each supplement’s food exchange per serving.
- The developed tool can help dietitians compare products and incorporate them into diet plans.
