The journal retracts the article titled “The Economic Evaluation of Methanol and Propylene Production from Natural Gas at Petrochemical Industries in Iran” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office relating to the accuracy and relevancy of several citations in this publication [1].
In accordance with the journal’s standard procedures, the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board conducted an investigation that confirmed the presence of a significant number of citations that lacked sufficient relevance to this study [1], as well as scientific inconsistencies in the presentation of data across multiple tables and figures.
As a result, the Editorial Board has lost confidence in the reliability of the data and findings reported in this article [1] and has decided to retract this publication as per MDPI’s retraction policy.
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Sustainability.
The authors have been informed of this retraction but did not provide a comment on this decision.
