Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The growing interest in sustainable raw materials has resulted in a significant rise in demand for Amazonian vegetable oils, such as pracaxi and patauá (Oenocarpus bataua). Therefore, research on Systematic Literature Network Analysis of Raw Materials in the Amazon Bioeconomy has certain value and significance. The structure of the paper is clear, the method is used properly, and some conclusions are of reference significance. However, the sample size selected in this paper is too small, and the literature selected is only English literature, so the universality of the conclusion is doubtful. In addition, some figures in the article are of poor quality and need to be improved. The article is generally innovative, the specific suggestions are:

(1)P3,line 64-70, a SLNA was carried out between 2010 and 2023,if possible, please expand the time range.

(2)P4, line 95-96, “This study covers scientific articles in English published from 2010 to 2023, using the 95 Scopus database”,  It is far from enough to select only the English literature published between 2010 and 2023. It is suggested to expand the range of languages if possible.

(3)P5,line 120-121,compared with other software, it is suggested to give the reasons for choosing VOSviewer software here.

(4)P8,Table 3,the % after all numbers in the table should be removed.

(5)P10, Figure 6, the figure quality is poor, please replace. Figure 5 the same.

(6)P12, line 310-318, “5. Conclusion”, the content is insufficient, possibly, please add and rich it .

Comments on the Quality of English Language

Some sentences need to be revised, some paragraphs need to be improved.

Author Response

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback on our manuscript. We appreciate your recognition of the value and significance of our research on Amazonian vegetable oils. In response to your suggestions:

  1. The limited number of articles included in this manuscript reflects the emerging nature of research on pracaxi and patauá oils. Since 2010, there has been a noticeable increase in publications on these oils. Therefore, the choice of the period from 2010 to 2023 is justified by the growing attention and development in this field. Extending the period, as suggested, to 2000 to 2023, would include only one additional article, which is not relevant to the present analysis (study of pracaxi bark - Antihemorrhagic, anti nucleolytic, and other antiophidian properties of the aqueous extract from Pentaclethra macroloba, 2005).
  2. We have verified that the articles identified by Scopus in Portuguese, Spanish, and Polish have an English version. Therefore, all languages have been included in this manuscript. The following articles are presented: a) Extraction and Microencapsulation of Antioxidant Compounds from Oenocarpus bataua Mart Seed | Extracción y microencapsulación de compuestos antioxidantes de la semilla de Oenocarpus bataua Mart (excluded, patauá seed); b) Drying Kinetics and Thermodynamic Properties of Patauá Pulp (Oenocarpus bataua Mart.) | Cinética de secado e propriedades termodinâmicas da polpa de patauá (Oenocarpus bataua Mart.) (excluded, patauá pulp); c) Amazon Oilseeds: Chemistry and Antioxidant Activity of Patauá (Oenocarpus bataua Mart.) | Plantas Oleaginosas Amazônicas: Química e Atividade Antioxidante de Patauá (Oenocarpus bataua Mart.) (excluded, chemical composition); d) Nutritional Composition, Fatty Acid, and Tocopherol Contents of Buriti (Mauritia flexuosa) and Patauá (Oenocarpus bataua) Fruit Pulp from the Amazon Region | Composição centesimal, em ácidos graxos e tocoferóis das polpas amazônicas de buriti (Mauritia flexuosa) e de patauá (Oenocarpus bataua) (included) e e) Clinical Ocular Manifestation of Patau's Syndrome (Trisomy 13) - Own Observations | Oczne objawy kliniczne w zespole Pataua (trisomia 13.) (excluded, Patau syndrome)
  3. The percentage signs (%) after all the numbers in the table have been removed.
  4. The reasons for choosing VOSviewer software are detailed in line 139-142.
  5. It should be noted that the arrangement of the maps has changed, as no post-processing was applied to the image. In the first version, we highlighted the clusters using Canva, which resulted in a low-resolution image. It is important to emphasize that the keywords remain the same; in other words, there have been no changes other than those related to aesthetics.
  6. The conclusion has been expanded and enriched.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The article provides a good theoretical analysis of the topic. It employs Systematic Literature Network Analysis (SLNA), which integrates Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with Bibliographic Network Analysis. Sixty-one (!) scientific articles from the Scopus database, with 32 meeting the criteria for Bibliometric Analysis. The authors prove good skills in article development.

The conclusions part could be a bit broader and more focused, since by starting to read the Conclusions first only, the impression about the article was not so good as it should be.

Otherwise, the paper deserves to be published.

Author Response

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear Editor,

In the attached file I have included a series of comments that the authors should keep in mind and include in a new version of the manuscript. In general, it is an interesting topic, but the bibliometric analysis must be deepened in order to better determine the network of knowledge that exists. aims to characterize, there are many details to improve in results, discussion and conclusions.

greetings

Author Response

Thank you. We have carefully considered your recommendations and have integrated the Bibliometrix package to enhance our descriptive analyses. Results generated by Bibliometrix are now presented in Tables 3, 4, and 5. While additional analyses could not be completed due to time constraints, the insights gained from these suggestions have been valuable to our research.

In response to the attached file: We have expanded the discussion to emphasize two key articles within each of the identified clusters. Additionally, we have added a table and discussion highlighting the top five authors who have made the most significant contributions to this field, including both the total number of articles and fractionalized counts for each author.
