Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The assessment of students in higher education and those about to enter the labour market is always topical.

We really don't know much about Generation Z in this context, so this survey is a missing piece.

At the same time, higher education is so complex and diverse that it is a mistake to label it as a homogenous group. My suggestion is to get a much more detailed description of this large sample: which fields of education were surveyed, what is the gender ratio, undergraduate to master's degree, perhaps doctoral studies.

The justification and extension of the golden triangle theory is truly remarkable.

Although the 9 topics are acceptable, in many cases it is not really possible to decide on the specific location of a keyword. For example, the word student is in one group, while college student belongs to another group. The categories should be justified in more detail and obvious words could be left out.

To me, the empirical evidence is convincing, but further studies from other perspectives are needed to provide sustainable evidence of career development. The present study starts this line.

After carefully examining your paper under the name "Sustainable career development of Chinese generation Z (post- 200s) attending and graduating from university: Dynamic topic 3 model analysis based on microblogging", we have come to our conclusions.
We find it highly methodological, well-structured, and highly consistent throughout your paper.
We are pleased with the literature that you've used in the process, as well as the points you've made when it comes to best presenting the model and wrapping your results.

Reviewer 3 Report

This manuscript applied a big data analysis to verify the career develop of Chinese generation Z (post-00s). This study has good framework of research process to discover the characteristics of career development for Post-00s. Related to research theory, this manuscript applied “Dynamic topic model”, “Career golden triangle theory” to verify Post-00s career development. After reviewing this manuscript, the following comments are provided as below:

1.     The main research processes, including the data preprocessing, data feature processing, DTM analysis, the optimal number of topics, and code setting, does not clearly presented in this study.

2.     Please describe the main research processes in which readers could understand how the statistics data resulted from. In addition, the reviewer also doesn’t know where the data of topic distribution and topic evolution resulted from.

3.     In section 4.3 Topic distribution, according to the calculation results of confusion and consistency, and the threshold set at modeling, this study divided the related research on post-00s career development into 9 categories. I don’t understand how the above 3 research processes derived into the post-00s career development of 9 categories.

4.     There are some mistakes of double numbers in the reference No. 10, 23 and 35.

To sum up the above comments, this manuscript didn’t clearly provide the integrated research processes to verify the rationality of research results.
