General comments

(1)    Materials and Methods

a.       Obscure reference Trpeski P., Šmelcerović, M., Jarevski, T., The impact of lithium mines on the environment. Knowledge – International Journal should be erased together with corresponding text in . What is a "healthy agricultural land"? Agricultural surfaces are treated with herbicide, pesticide, insecticide and fertilizers producing severe environment impact to soil and groundwater, not to mention that mono-culture is far away from natural habitats for animal and plant species.

(2)    Results – several mistakes are found

a.       Spodumene - a lithium-bearing pyroxene, a part of hard-rock (pegmatite) Li-deposits

b.       Salars contain lithium rich brine (fluid) - that evaporates under hot and arid conditions in South American Atacama desert

c.       Authors are referred to Meng et al., 2019 Review of Lithium Production and Recovery from Minerals, Brines, and Lithium-Ion Batteries - Mineral processing and Extractive Metallurgy Review – in order to improve section

(3)    Discussion

a.       Sentence need further elaboration:” Also, based on the experience of foreign companies in Serbia that are engaged in industrial 626 and mining activities in other locations, it has been shown that environmental monitoring 627 is at a very low level, i.e., that despite the prescribed measures, incidents of air, water and 628 soil pollution take place”- Which companies, which commodities, type of accidents...

(4)    All figures are of low quality/resolution, legends are not visible, text is too small, missing scale

a.       Figure 1 – simplify legend, add position of North, enlarge text

b.       Figure 2 – legend missing, north position, scale, lower part of the figure is unclear (what does it represents); what is SPSPAs – full text should be intorduced?

c.       Figure 3 should be erased as has nothing to do with text and it is misleading. Authors could also show new property that family had booth after statement was paid by the company...

(5)    Figures are not cited in text – please refer to each figure and Table in text
