Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Authors must provide references for paragraphs from lines 32 to 36.

Section literature review: a table summarising physical parameters needs to be included to have an overview of the contribution of the literature.

Section contribution: the 3 parts are hard to digest for the readers. A schematic to illustrate the thoughts and initiative of the authors would be highly appreciated.

Section II equations must be outside the plain text and labelled as equation 1.

For a proper understanding of the equations and all the logic of the methodology, a nomenclature must be inserted at the beginning, such as symbols, abbreviations, units…

The long theoretical parts require more graphs and comments. The authors might be lost to find what are the most relevant parameters to illustrate the outputs.

What are the limitations of the model? Any comparison with the ones already reported by the literature?

The work initiated on the topic is interesting. More efforts must be provided before publication.

The clarity and vocabulary of English need improvement, and incorporating more technical terms would be beneficial.

Here enclosed a file with some minor remarks concerning misprints, missing data etc.

As a general observation in the title and in the text the role of Wind and PV systems is never differentiated. It should be, or at least explined why not

Title: Unit combination scheduling method considering system frequency dynamic constraints under high wind power share

In this work, the authors establish a frequency safety unit optimization scheduling model that considers the uncertainty of wind power new energy grid connection and the problem of inertia deficiency based on a two-stage robust optimization method.

The topic covered in the article is interesting and current.

The article is well structured, with an adequate bibliographic review.

However, authors must improve the paper.

Review the text and formatting of the document.

For example:

-          References [24,25] appear before references [22] and [23].

-          In line 215, where is “Fig.3”, it should be “figure 3”.

-          In line 217, number the equation with (5).

-          In figure 5, I assume that PV is photovoltaic power and PW is wind power, in this case, I think that in the figure the colors of PV and PW are switched. Put the explanation of the acronyms PV and PW in the figure legend.
