Environmental Regulation, Family Involvement and Green Innovation Efficiency—Based on Sew Theory Framework
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The paper deals with an interesting research topic and that the research agenda falls within the interests of the journal. Overall, the paper is well written and structured, but my main concern is the updated data. Data collection was realized in 2019 and now we are at the end of 2022. The authors should at least prove that the updated data do not affect the research conclusions, but in the past 3 years the world, the economies and the enterprises have been dramatically affected by the pandemic.
In the first three sections the authors present China’s framework, regulations and efforts for a sustainable development, but the authors should present secondary data on the matter for China, and if possible, in comparison with other countries.
In the conclusion section the authors should make the connection with the research contribution of this paper as presented in introduction.
Minor comments
Line 32 there are no blanks between words.
The introduction section should end with the structure presentation of the paper.
The authors cite the reference in different styles, for example: page 2 lines 47, 49.
Line 234, no capital letters should be given in citation expect the first letter and no initials.
Author Response
1.My paper updates the data to 2020, and conduct a new empirical analysis, since the data of 2021 and 2022 have not been published yet, they cannot be collected.2.In the introduction, the description and analysis of the secondary data are added, specifically introducing Investment in China's industrial pollution、Environmental punishment cases and environmental proposals of the "Two Sessions" .3.This paper supplements the structure and contributions in the paper.
Thank you very much for your suggestions,

The article is well written. However, there is a strong need for arguments, discussion and bring contribution to 17 SDGs, as well as the support of reference.
Please check the journal reference and lastly in the introduction section please bring all the latest 2021 and 2022 references.

The title is appropriate. The abstract is correct written, although authors could clarify method used in analyses. Keywords are appropriate.
The introduction is well written, setting the topic in context and defining the research aims. In this section also authors could clarify research method.
The literature review analyzes the results of the relevant literature in the field, but authors should based on more extended literature positions. They should also cite articles from Sustainability Journal.
The results are supported by the methodological toolset and the datasets.
