Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Thank you for your paper. It is very interesting due to is focused on poverty about a specific context.

  • The authors should checked the English. There are different grammatical and lexical errors and several sections should be reorganised for improving the readability.

Abstract:

  1. please, correct the present tips (e.g. finical and stake holder).
  2. several sentences must be revised in terms of english language.

Introduction:

  1. This section is too long. Please, the authors should better reorganized it.
  2. Several sentences are not clear. For example the first sentence.
  3. There are different tips.
  4. The English language must be revised – use of tenses, construction of sentences and punctuations.
  5. About this: "it has not been studied in the context of multidimensional poverty and sustainable mountain development in Pakistan ". What is the scientific soundness ? Is it conducted a review? Please, provide a robust scientific approach.
  6. Again "Since the study area is neither explored by any empirical study nor any national or international survey is carried out to explore its socio-economic status". Do you have a scientific soundness for saying this?
  7. It should be reorganised the presentation of the different goals of this study. It is very confusing and it is not fluently.

 METHOD:

  1. The authors should improved the presentation of method. A flow chart of followed process can be used for improving the comprehension.
  2. "The idea of absolute poverty is relatively simple to identify poor among a given population" is not clear. Please, improve it.
  3. Please, provide more information about the different index used.
  4. The indicators used are not well described. For example "electricity" in Table 1 is not an indicators.
    1. Moreover, if it is possible add the unit of measurement for each indicator.
    2. Is reference "24" the source of all indicators ?

RESULTS:

  1. Please, improve the presentation of table 3.

DISCUSSION

  1.  "As many illiterate, undernourished, marginalized and hungry people live in mountain areas therefore investing in mountain communities contribute to sustainable development which is necessary not only to improve the quality of life of mountain community but also for the welfare of whole humanity."

  2. This section is too long. Please, organise it in a better light form for the reader.

Please, shift the implications section before the conclusions. Furthermore, the conclusion should be reorganised for improving the readability.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper entitled Financial Inclusion, Socioeconomic Disasters Risks
and Sustainable Mountain Development: Evidences
from Karakoram Valleys of Pakistan is well documented egarding the financial literature
and fine structured.
The Abstract and Chapter 1. Introduction provide sufficient information about the scope of the paper.
Second chapter 2. Materials and Methods is well documented and information regarding triple helix and sustainability is thoroughly explained.
Chapter 3 named Results is clearly explaind.

Main suggestion regarding chapter / part entitled Results

- at page 10, the title Results has no number of chapter - 3. It should be added;
- at page 13 ther is a graphic entitled Figure 4. Use of Credit by Treatment Group in Karakoram Valleys of Pakistan;
In our opinion , the figure (graphic) should be removed. It is clear from the text that
the majority of the inclusive finance/microcredit funds were invested
by treatment group on productive uses.
The figure would make sense if will be changed to a compaarison
graphic with non-treatment group.

The part 4. Discussion is clearly presented.

Part 5. Conclusions & Recommendations is expertly presented, properly explaining the conclusions and implications.

Reviewer 3 Report

The paper respects the structuring requirements of a scientific article and addresses the issue of the correlation between financial inclusion and improvement in living standards of mountain people, reduction in socioeconomic disasters risks and sustainable mountain development in Karakoram valleys of Pakistan.
After analyzing the paper, I made some suggestions for reviewing the paper:
The authors can rewrite the abstract specifying the problem approached, the methods used to solve it, the main results and
conclusions (without including recommendations).
The authors may revise the paper to avoid description of facts or statistics both narrative and graphically - the information becoming redundant for the reader (eg Fig. 3 and 4).
The conclusions can be restructured in the sense that they must highlight the verification of the working hypotheses stated in the introduction.
This paragraph must support the importance of their own ideas and not relate to other authors (that part can be moved to the discussion section). In addition, a structuring in subchapters within the conclusions is no longer required. The authors may also include future research directions.
