A pot experiment was conducted to explore the process of propagation for potted bamboo seedlings from a single mother bamboo to a ramet system exposed to intensively managed bamboo forest soils. Their findings indicate that bamboo mulching inhibits branching and causes a differential reaction in branching types.

1. The manuscript is a "preliminary" study of the effects of intensive management on a ramet system bamboo plantation. The manuscript is well-written and just a few corrections in English style are required (some sentences missing a verb and some problems with syntax within very long sentences).

2. Apart from the diagrams, some real figures of the plants with examples of the various parameters should be added, not as supplement but in the main manuscipt.

The manuscript entitles “Deciphering the ramet system of a bamboo plant in response to

intensive management” has been written well and have some comments below:

 

In abstract, Please give one sentence that what you did in your study and this is the finally recommendation from your this study.

In Keywords section, Keywords should be different from the title and also no need to give the C. D. Chu et C. S. Chao 'prevernalis.

In Introduction: Line no 87-89, Sentence “the relationship between the bamboo ramet system and bamboo forest productivity, as well as the population construction and maintenance mechanisms of the field bamboo ramet system” are repeated from the abstract as such. Kindly refrain this.

In Methodology Please justify the taking soil from the 3 different years. Why you used those soil?

How many technical replications you have taken for this study? Did you use biological replication or not? If not then why?

Line no, It should be 3.2 or 2.2. Response of rhizome bud bank of bamboo ramet system

References should be according to the journals guideline. And follow same format for all the references.

English language must be improved in throughout the manuscript.
