Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article considers looking for a smart charging plan for the electric vehicle fleet, considering the time availability, charging status of each vehicle and the maximum available power of the charging station, and proposes two methods to solve the scheduling problem, which have certain research value. Please pay attention to the following points:

  1. In the contribution made in this article,’a proposal of two transformations of SOC-power curves into SOC-energy curves, and’. please complete the content after ‘and’.
  2. ’Note that the area between and decreases with smaller △t values’. What effect will the conclusion of line 220 of the article have on  and .
  3. Please give necessary explanations and explanations for the special curve in Figure 3.
  4. Please briefly explain the characteristics and differences of each graph in Figure 5, and introduce in detail the origin of the conclusion in Figure 5.
  5. Pay attention to the insertion position of pictures and tables in the article, do not insert pictures and tables into a paragraph of text.Such as lines 497-498
  6. The lack of introduction to the contents of Table 6 in the text requires corresponding descriptions of the contents of Table 6.
  7. In Figure 7, why the standard deviation of △t is 0 when n=20, please explain the specific reasons.

Reviewer 2 Report

My comments to the authors are as follows:

  • The maximum charging power is considered as a function of SOC only. The effects if charging efficiency & temperature are neglected. If it is assumed constant OR completely neglected, it must be mentioned.
  • Charging current of each EV should be constrained within limit which is not mentioned in paper.
  • The upper bound and lower bound limit of voltage should be mentioned.
  • The problem formulation could be more realistic by considering various EV coming for charging at different times (and not all EV at a same time which is not a practical case).
  • Inspite of numerous assumptions & approximation approaches, the writing of paper seems dominant towards readers.
  • The result comparison is mostly in tabulated form which can be revised to bar graphs.
  • The uncertainty of power availability and transition time between two respective EV coming for charging should be taken into account for future work.
  • As author claims the data is “Real World Data”, it should be rephrased as case study (as the benchmark of result is self-created).
