Authors described the synthesis and characterization of novel phthalide derivative. I consider that manuscript meets the requirements to be published in “Molbank” after some revision. Additional comments and suggestions are included:
1. Authors should better justify aim of their work.
2. Has the melting point been corrected?
3. A short conclusion might be included (3-5 sentences).
4. There are some typos that need to be corrected (e.g. lines 93 or 97)
5. The Authors wrote “Supplementary Materials: All spectroscopic material, NMR (S1-S6), MS (S7), and FT-IR (S8), is available online at www.mdpi.com/xxx/s1.”. The supplementary materials contains only 5 figures (not 8 ). Figures should be labeled with a number followed by a descriptive caption or title. The caption should also provided in manuscript. All figures of supplementary materials should be placed in one file.
