The manuscript describes the synthesis of a series of modified neoabietic acids. For the preparations they used  known methods, the Curtius rearrangement reaction. The identification of  new compounds are correct .

However, the English should be improved. E.G. inline 185:instead of Cuius should be Curtius. In line 188, a broad range of should be deleted.

In line 188 second also should be deleted.

1.       The description of 1H NMR spectra of compounds 4, 7, 8, 10, 11 are wrong – there are the lack of protons.

2.       The description of 1H NMR spectra of compounds  5, 9 are wrong  too - there are too many protons.

3.       There are many mistakes in the text:

line 55 should be reported instead of resorted

line 57  should be secondary instead of second secondary

line 188  should be to a broad range of aliphatic instead of to a broad range of a broad range of aliphatic

line 189 should be secondary instead of second secondary.
