Abstract
High-power jamming may drive the radio-frequency (RF) front end of a satellite receiver into a nonlinear regime, thereby invalidating the linear superposition assumption underlying conventional excision and blanking methods. High-power jamming may drive the radio-frequency (RF) front end of a satellite receiver into a nonlinear regime, thereby invalidating the linear superposition assumption underlying conventional excision and blanking methods. We formulate dual-receiver direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DSSS) anti-jamming as a nonlinear source-separation problem in complex baseband using stacked I/Q observations. We then propose a time-domain separator that jointly estimates the desired DSSS signal and the jammer on a designated reference receiver. The separator combines a multi-scale convolutional front end with a Transformer encoder and is pretrained on synthetic nonlinear mixtures that include multi-tone or burst jamming as well as typical satellite impairments, including Doppler/carrier-frequency offset (CFO), phase noise, multipath, and additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). Robustness under high-jammer-to-signal-ratio (JSR) conditions is improved through high-JSR oversampling and JSR-aware loss reweighting. After Stage I supervised pretraining on labeled synthetic mixtures, an optional Stage II mixture-only adaptation step further refines the separator using nonlinear reconstruction consistency and lightweight communication-motivated priors. Across 1000 test mixtures with JSRs from −5 to 15 dB, SNRs from 15 to 25 dB, and cubic coefficients a[0,0.5], the proposed method improves the desired-signal scale-invariant signal-to-noise ratio (SI-SNR) from −4.79 dB for the mixture baseline to 13.32 dB after supervised pretraining and to 17.73 dB after mixture-only blind fine-tuning. Over the same test set, the failure rate (SI-SNR < 0 dB) decreases from 60.7% to 2.3%. Full article

This paper presents a resilient and energy-efficient framework for jamming mitigation in cluster-based wireless sensor networks (WSNs), addressing a critical vulnerability in hostile or interference-prone environments. The proposed approa ch integrates dynamic cluster reorganization, adaptive MAC-layer behavior, and multipath routing strategies to restore communication capabilities and sustain network functionality under jamming conditions. The framework is evaluated across heterogeneous topologies using Zigbee and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE); both stacks were validated in a physical testbed with matched jammer and traffic conditions, while simulation was used solely to tune parameters and support sensitivity analyses. Results demonstrate significant improvements in Packet Delivery Ratio, end-to-end delay, energy consumption, and retransmission rate, with BLE showing particularly high resilience when combined with the mitigation mechanism. Furthermore, a comparative analysis of routing protocols including AODV, GAF, and LEACH reveals that hierarchical protocols achieve superior performance when integrated with the proposed method. This framework has broader applicability in mission-critical IoT domains, including environmental monitoring, industrial automation, and healthcare systems. The findings confirm that the framework offers a scalable and protocol-agnostic defense mechanism, with potential applicability in mission-critical and interference-sensitive IoT deployments. Interference multipath is an important factor to affect the anti-jamming performance for the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) antenna array receiver. However, interference multipath must be considered in practical application. In this paper, the antenna array model for interference multipath is analyzed, and an equivalent model for interference multipath is proposed. According to the equivalent interference multipath model, the influence of interference multipath on anti-jamming performance is analyzed from the space only processing (SOP) and space-time adaptive processing (STAP). Interference multipath can cause loss of the degree of freedom (DoF) of SOP. Through analysis of the equivalent model and STAP mechanism, it further reveals how the STAP can solve the interference multipath. The simulation experiments prove that the equivalent model is effective, and the analysis conclusion is correct. This paper also points out that the interference bandwidth is wider and more taps in STAP are required, under the same experiment conditions. Full article

Many communication systems are based on the Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MIMO) scheme, and Orthogonal Space–time Block Transmit diversity Coding (OSTBC), combined with Maximal Ratio Receive Combining (MRRC), to create an optimal diversity system. A system with optimal diversity fixes and optimizes the channel’s effects under multi-path and Rayleigh fading with maximum energy efficiency; however, the challenge does not end with dealing with the channel destruction of the multi-path impacts. Susceptibility to interference is a significant vulnerability in future wireless mobile networks. The 5th Generation New Radio (5G-NR) technologies bring hundreds of small cells and pieces of User Equipment (UE) per indoor or outdoor local area scenario under a specific Long Term Evolution (LTE)-based station (e-NodeB), or under 5G-NR base-station (g-NodeB). It is necessary to study issues that deal with many interference signals, and smart jammers from advanced communication equipment cause deterioration in the links between the UE, the small cells, and the NodeB. In this paper, we study and present the significant impact and performances of 2×2 Alamouti Phase-Shift Keying (PSK) modulation techniques in the presence of an interferer and a smart jammer. The destructive effects affecting the MIMO array and the advanced diversity technique without closed-loop MIMO are analyzed. The performance is evaluated in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER) vs. Signal to Interference Ratio (SIR). In addition, we proved the impairment of the orthogonal spectrum assumption mathematically.
