Consensus in group decision-making has become a hotspot to ensure the agreement opinions of decision makers (DMs). The irrational behaviors of DMs, such as confidence, will impact the consensus results, which should be considered. In addition, the existing self-confidence level directly given by DMs rather than exacted from evaluation information may generate malicious manipulation. Furthermore, double-hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic term set (DHHFLTS) is an effective tool to express the complex evaluations of DMs. In this paper, the endo-confidence of DHHFLTS to reflect confidence of DMs from the perspective of evaluation information is defined. Then, we propose a novel consensus model with endo-confidence of DMs based on DHHFLTSs. First, some improved operators of DHHFLTSs are developed. Second, the weight is determined based on both entropy and endo-confidence. Due to the fact that the consensus threshold should decrease as the endo-confidence increases, we give a novel method to obtain the consensus threshold considering endo-confidence level. Moreover, the two-stage adjustment mechanism is presented for non-consensus DMs and the selection process is constructed. Finally, an illustrative example is carried out to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed model, and a series of comparative analysis is used to show its stability. Full article

With the advent of digitization, digital twin technology is gradually becoming one of the core technologies of the Industry 4.0 era, highlighting the increasing importance of digital twin project management. Despite its potential, DT projects face significant risks during implementation, stemming from technical, managerial, and operational complexities. To address these challenges, this study proposes an improved failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) framework by integrating double hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets (DHHFLTSs) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). This framework converts qualitative assessments into quantitative metrics and calculates weights using a hybrid approach, enabling more precise risk prioritisation. Application of the model to an automotive manufacturing company’s DT project identified key risks, particularly in the iteration and upgrade phase, emphasising the importance of cross-departmental collaboration and robust digital infrastructure. The proposed model provides a systematic framework for enterprises to assess and mitigate risks, ensuring the successful deployment of DT projects. Full article

The extent of failure evaluation depends on the complexity and significance of electronic products. However, traditional failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) has many shortcomings, which brings large difficulty to failure evaluating work. This paper uses the double hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic term set (DHHFLTS) and the K-means clustering algorithm to improve the shortcomings of traditional FMEA. The DHHFLTS is a set of language terms based on the symmetry method and uniform language granularity. Firstly, we determine the product failure mode and set up an evaluation team after formulating an evaluation symmetrical language set. The psychological changes of the evaluators can be truly expressed by using the DHHFLTS. Secondly, the entropy weight method is used to calculate the weight of the evaluation members. The evaluation information of the evaluation personnel on the failure mode is aggregated based on the weight of the evaluation members. Then, the K-means clustering algorithm is used to calculate the distance between failure modes and each cluster center point by using the normalized weight of influencing factors and the evaluation distance of each evaluator. Finally, the evaluation of an electromagnet failure mode is taken as an example to prove the objectivity and practicability of the new method. Full article

A double hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic term set (DHHFLT) is deemed as an effective and powerful linguistic expression which models complex linguistic decision information more accurately by using two different hierarchy linguistic term sets. The purpose of this paper is to propose a multi-attribute decision making method to tackle complex decision issues in which attribute values are represented as double hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic numbers, and there are some extreme or unreasonable data in the attribute values. To do this, firstly, four double hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic generalized power aggregation operators are introduced, including the double hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic generalized power average (DHHFLGPA) operator, the double hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic generalized power geometric (DHHFLGPG) operator, and their weighted forms. Thereafter, several favorable properties, as well as representative cases of the proposed operators, are investigated in detail. Moreover, by virtue of the proposed operators, a novel approach is developed for coping with multi-attribute decision making cases in the double hierarchy hesitant fuzzy linguistic context. Finally, an illustrated example is given to demonstrate the practical application of the presented approach, an availability verification is given to show its validity, and a comparative analysis is also conducted to highlight the advantages of the proposed approach.
