Youth Health and Wellbeing

A section of Youth (ISSN 2673-995X).

Section Information

Youth health and well-being is a dynamic research field focused on understanding the integrated physical, mental, and psychosocial health of adolescents and young adults. This section publishes studies that explore how individual, relational, and societal factors interact to shape health outcomes during this critical developmental period. We emphasize evidence-based approaches to health promotion, illness prevention, and intervention, with a particular interest in how contemporary challenges—including family dynamics, digital lifestyles, social inequities, and global crises—affect youth well-being.

This section seeks to advance the journal’s commitment to interdisciplinary and applied youth studies. We encourage submissions that address pressing issues in youth health, including mental health, health literacy, lifestyle behaviours, resilience building, and the role of families, schools, and communities in supporting healthy development. We are also interested in research that highlights understudied populations, innovative methodologies, and strategies for creating supportive environments that enable all young people to thrive.
