Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Aesthetic plastic surgery represents one of the most dynamic and evolving fields in modern medicine, combining surgical precision, technological innovation, and artistic vision to enhance patient outcomes. The continuous development of minimally invasive techniques, regenerative medicine applications, advanced imaging, and patient-centered evaluation methods is transforming the way aesthetic goals are achieved. As societal interest in natural, harmonious results grows, so does the need for evidence-based approaches that ensure safety, quality, and longevity of results.

This Special Issue aims to present cutting-edge research, clinical advances, and innovative methodologies in aesthetic plastic surgery, both surgical and non-surgical. It aligns with the Journal of Aesthetic Medicine scope by fostering an interdisciplinary dialogue between plastic surgeons, dermatologists, aesthetic physicians, and researchers. We seek to highlight topics that bridge technical excellence with patient satisfaction, from procedure innovation to outcome measurement and complication management.

In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Facial rejuvenation and contouring;
  • Breast surgery innovations;
  • Body contouring techniques;
  • Minimally invasive and non-surgical procedures;
  • Regenerative medicine in aesthetics;
  • Advanced imaging and planning tools;
  • Patient safety, ethics, and satisfaction;
  • Complication prevention and management.

We look forward to receiving your contributions.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Journal of Aesthetic Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access quarterly journal published by MDPI.
