Birds | Aims and Scope Update

The scope of Birds (ISSN: 2673-6004) has been updated under the guidance of the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Jukka Jokimäki, for better development and further clarification. The original aims and scope and the updated versions are listed below:

Aims (new version):

Aims (old version):

Birds (ISSN 2673-6004) is an international, peer-reviewed, and open access ornithological journal. It publishes original ornithological research articles, reviews, and communications that offer substantial new insight into any field of study that involves wild birds, with special emphasis on bird ecology, communities, conservation, and behavioral ecology. Multidisciplinary papers related to birds will be considered. Manuscripts reporting novel behavioral observations might be considered as Brief Reports or Communications. There is no restriction on the maximum length of the papers. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their theoretical, basic, applied, and experimental research in Birds. Full study methods and/or experimental details must be provided for research articles so that the results can be reproduced.
