We are pleased to inform you that the open access journal Bacteria (ISSN: 2674-1334) has been selected for coverage in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (Web of Science) in May 2026. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all authors, reviewers, and editors who have contributed to this journal and helped us attain this achievement.
Bacteria is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal that covers all aspects of bacteriology. It mainly publishes reviews, research papers, and communications, though other article types will also be considered. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results that represent rigorous experimental designs and robust analyses. There is no restriction on the maximum length of the papers that can be submitted. Full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be independently reproduced. Electronic files and software showing the full details of the calculation or experimental procedure, if unable to be published within the text, should be deposited as supplementary electronic material suitable for reuse. We aim to establish Bacteria as a key global platform for sharing scientific progress in the research field.
To make the most of this opportunity, we warmly welcome you to consider Bacteria as a platform for publishing your work. If you are interested, please let us know at your earliest convenience (bacteria@mdpi.com), or visit the journal’s website to submit your manuscript: https://www.mdpi.com/journal/bacteria.
