Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This is a worthwhile article on the challenges parents of trans-young people are facing in the Quebec region. As far as methods go, group and individual interviews, social action research as well as qualitative analysis techniques (content analysis via coding and MAXQDA) are in place. However, literature review and in relation to that state of the art can be improved. Though, relevant research is quite recent, there is definitely room to bring forth different perspectives to light. This would also clarify the urban-rural distinction highlighted in terms of services provided and gender-literacy / awareness levels in the communities.

On another note, only a short depiction of online services have been made whereas there are extensive services for psychosocial care via online platforms. It is highly contestable whether these services are of quality or fulfilling, but it would still be advisable to include this perspective in the interviews as well as the discussions in the article.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The topic "Difficulties of parents of TNB children in specific regions" is important at an international level.

In a paper, the central concepts should be clarified, namely the concept of TNB children. I recommend this clarification.

In the Methods section, research questions are absent. It is not explicit why the chosen research strategy is Social Action Research, neither how this strategy led to data collection and treatment. Furthermore, it is not explained the change of technique, from focus groups to interviews, in the two steps of data collection.

There is a need for a revision of the format of References, specially in what concerns the use of quotation marks.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

English language is fine. The need for minor editing is related to typing errors.
