Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Authors reviewed the nutritional disorder in dialysis patients. Many aspects were covered, and there might not be not much left to address further in this regard. I would like to invite the authors to mention the influence of physical exercise. Readers understand that either nutritional therapy or physical exercise alone might not contribute to enhanced health in dialysis patients. However, it is still a topic to pay attention to.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is not exhaustive.

it is necessary to integrate the following chapters by adding the necessary numerous bibliographic entries and what causes nutritional disorders and variation on evaluation parameters as:

a) haemato-chemical parameters: e.g: prealbumin, transferrin, complement, Ig, lymphocytes, lipid profile, etc. (illustrating usefulness and limitations);

b) impedance measurement (methods and times and techniques of application, interpretation) illustrating usefulness and limitsDescribe other methodologies for determining compartments, RCW, ICW, TBW, FM, FFM, BCM, PA);

c) methodology for interview and nutritional monitoring (usefulness, limits)

d) illustrate the other anthropometric indices: arm, thigh, waist circumferences, etc. and plicometry: utility, methods, limits;

e) methodologies for monitoring muscle strength;

f) monitoring and amino acid structure in CKD and dialysis;

The work is confounded by inputs and speculation about ongoing infections that profoundly alter nutritional interpretations.

A work should be written dedicated only to nutritional disorders in patients with CKD or undergoing dialysis during the various types of infections
