1. Introduction
1.1. Conference Information
The XXXIII Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference (XXXIII JIEE-2025) is an annual scientific and academic event organized by the Facultad de Ingeniería Eléctrica y Electrónica (FIEE) of the Escuela Politécnica Nacional (EPN), Quito, Ecuador. The conference brings together students, faculty members, researchers, and industry professionals to disseminate graduation projects, curricular integration initiatives, research advancements, community engagement activities, and peer-reviewed scientific contributions.
The JIEE serves as a comprehensive forum that promotes the exchange of knowledge and professional experiences across diverse engineering disciplines. It fosters the development of academic and industrial collaboration networks, facilitates access to emerging technological trends, and strengthens the technical competencies required to address contemporary and future challenges within the field. Through these interactions, the conference reinforces cooperation between academia, industry, and the broader scientific community.
The XXXIII JIEE-2025 aims to contribute to the technological development of Ecuador’s energy, telecommunications, automation, and productive sectors. The conference encompasses a broad range of topics, including electrical power systems, renewable energy technologies, automation and control, communications, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and Industry 4.0. In this context, the 2025 edition provides a platform for the dissemination of national and international research and development efforts directed toward strengthening technological capabilities, optimizing industrial processes, and promoting innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
In addition to its scientific program, this edition integrates simultaneous technical workshops, expert lectures, thematic sessions, and inspirational academic presentations, alongside institutional activities. These components enhance the engagement of students, strengthen the academic community, and deepen the connection between the university and the productive sector.
