Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The author investigated Einstein-scalar field theory and found an exact analytical spherically-symmetric, three parametric wormhole solution which covers the several well-known wormhole solutions. The results are interesting, and the calculations seem to be correct. I recommend it for publication.

Reviewer 3 Report

In work "Generic three parameters wormhole solution in Einstein-scalar field theory", within the framework of the general theory of relativity, a solution was obtained for a static spherically symmetric model with a material source in the form of a kinetic term for a scalar field in the Lagrange function.
For the expert, the motivation of the authors remained not entirely clear in their new appeal to a well-studied problem. The insignificant generalization that the authors see in their work is possibly related to a different redistribution of functions in the used coordinate system. The work does not analyze or focus on the novelty of the results obtained by the authors and the physical significance of these new results.
The authors need to clearly highlight and describe the essence of the scientific novelty of the work, as they see it, and also describe the new physical meaning of their results, in contrast to those already known earlier. Including the revision of the text of the work.
Technical note: on page 2 there is a link to the work of Yurtsever, where there is probably an inaccuracy or lack of clarification of the meaning of the link.

Comment # 1. The authors need to clearly highlight and describe the essence of the scientific novelty of the work, as they see it, and also describe the new physical meaning of their results, in contrast to those already known earlier.

Reply: We have added the following text in Conclusion part.

"It is well-known that  in order to find the wormhole exact solutions to the field equations  one need to assume the presence of exotic matter for example in throat. In the most cases the exotic matter can be either scalar or phantom field. In general, it is difficult to find the exact analytical wormhole solutions to the field equations, however, the several particular wormhole solutions can be found for given form of the action which includes exotic matter term. Some solutions including exotic matter might be also solutions for either the naked singularity  or black hole. The main purpose of the paper is to demonstrate the derivation of three parametric wormhole solutions in the framework of general relativity."

Comment # 2. Including the revision of the text of the work.

Reply: It is done.
