Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is presenting the interesting work on the production of radiation detectors using CdZnTeSe. The performance of the detectors is impressive and demonstrates the successful working in the growth of CZTS crystals.

Author Response

The authors would like to thank the reviewers for valuable comments/suggestions. We have addressed all the comments, and the manuscript is enriched after the revision as suggested by the reviewers.

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript reports the results of a study of the detector performance of an as-grown CZT  crystal. Results are interesting; the entire manuscript is organized well with substantiated results and discussion. I feel that the manuscript may be accepted for publication after addressing the following queries.

1.     How the composition of CZTS was optimized?. Some more details would have been much better.

2.     Detector fabrication details may be more elaborated.

3.     Etching details like proportion ratio and its impact could have been discussed.
