The journal Chromatography from MDPI released its first volume in 2014. Since then we have published over 60 articles from authors across the globe on the topic of chromatography and separation science.
Until recently, we were unaware that another journal, published by the Society for Chromatographic Sciences and based in Japan has the same name (http://chromsoc.jp/Journal.html). While there is nothing to forbid two journals having the same name, we recognize that there is a potential for confusion by readers and authors and wish to make clear that the two journals are distinct. Therefore, we have approached the Society for Chromatographic Sciences and mutually agreed to change the name of our journal. We are pleased to announce that Chromatography will be renamed Separations.
The scope will remain the same, and we look forward to continuing to publish excellent research. We wish Chromatography a happy future and thank the Society for Chromatographic Sciences for their cooperation.
