Abstract

The aim of the present study is to contrast the existing associations between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and other psycho-educational variables such as emotional intelligence and coping strategies of daily stress in a sample of university students. For this, there were 120 university students, most of them women, between the ages of 18 and 36 (M=20.88; SD=3.34) belonging to the Faculty of Educational Sciences. The entrepreneurial self-efficacy was evaluated through emotional intelligence, active coping and empathy. We observe significant results between entrepreneurial self-efficacy with coping strategies, with the empathic dimension and factors related to the construct of emotional intelligence. It can be said that entrepreneurial self-efficacy is directly related to the variables of coping and problem solving that indicates that in order to thrive in a business of its own, the subject must have the ability and ability to solve any type of problem that may arise. It is understood that the education of a correct emotional intelligence in the school as in the university would provide determinant personality factors to solve problems in the new company.
