Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Keywords should be revised. Authors should not use abbreviations in the keywords.

To improve the article’s visibility during online searching, the authors should not repeat the words in the title again in the keywords.

Before the conclusion section, add a subheading on limitations and future scope of the research.

Since a large amount of data are to be evaluated, discuss the use of bid data in the limitations and future scope. Explain the use of modern tools like AI, ANN, ML etc. Refer to and site  "Big data analytics in upstream oil and gas industries for sustainable exploration and development : A Review".

Clearly explain the assumptions made in the model, Justify.

Make the conclusion into a single paragraph and discuss the implications, not more than 250 words.

The manuscript needs major language corrections.

Reviewer 2 Report

This article proposes the classification of electric power indicator diagrams under 12 working conditions, and performs feature analysis and feature value extraction on electric power diagrams under different working conditions, realizing direct diagnosis of working conditions of variable torque pumping wells. It has certain application value. The questions and suggestions are modified as follows:

(1) Figure 1 introduces the technical idea diagram of working condition diagnosis, which is only represented by a diagram, without corresponding text description, and needs to be supplemented.

(2) In 2.1, for the convenience of readers, please add a schematic diagram of the electronic indicator diagram.

(3) 2.2.2 is a conventional method for obtaining indicator diagrams, and it is recommended to delete it

(4) Editing format error: "T1" well is a upright symbol.

(5) Figure 3: The abscissa and ordinate are not numeric, but graphical. Please supplement

(6) Key response: Does equation (3) need to be explained as being derived from references or derived for the first time in this article? If it is derived from this article, please be appropriately detailed.

(7) Key response: Since there are measured electronic indicator diagrams in Figures 5 and 6, why do we still need calculated indicator diagrams? What is the significance and role of these diagrams?

(8) Key response: The modeling process is incomplete. First, feature extraction and filtering should be performed, and there are a total of 12 factors. It is recommended to describe them in a table more intuitively.
