Round 1

Major comments:

  1. It is not clear to me, by using which sampling method the author has selected sample (520) in case of data collection? Need to clarify how he selects the different sizes of samples from different universities.
  2. Need more clarification on the significance of his study compared with existing studies.
  3. The variables selected for his study, there is no indication that how much these variables are statistically significant, and has he determined power for the validity of the study is not clear to me? Need clarification on it.
  4. It is necessary to rearrange the introduction and Literature part with a more logical sequence.
  5. How did the authors select five main factors for his selected study model? Need more clarification on it.

Minor Comments:

  1. Figure 1 and Table 3 go out of margin, need to handle these properly.
  2. Need to update the problem of solving grammatical issues such as articles, prepositions, and some sentence patterns.

The paper presents an important topic, especially with the never ending  Covid-19 pandemic. However, I recommend some improvement to the paper to make it  publishable:

- Please do another round of proof reading for the paper. For example, see the sentence below:

(AU), intention to use(IU), attitude (AT), ease of use (EUS) and perceived usefulness (PUS), and developed by Davis [44-46].

There is no need to put and before the word developed.

There are also other typos or weak sentences, so please do a complete and accurate proof reading to the paper and improve its langauge.

2. The literature review section is weak, I recommended citing more recent papers that discuss this topic and compare their finding with yours! I recommend creating a table where you  list the related work and compare between them and list your topic.

3. Add more details for H5:
H5: Ease of use positively effects on mobile learning acceptance among students.

4. Nothing mentioned about the gender issue? Was the results different from male/female?

I have read manuscript with great attention and interest. The article deals with a topic of online education during COVID-19 pandemic. This is an evaluation of surveys that have been carried out in a particular country. The article is, in my opinion, more worthy of a conference than a high-impact-factor peer-reviewed journal. While the content is valuable, it is more appropriate to present it at a conference.

It is necessary for the article to be revised by a more experienced English writer. E.g. the sentence "Higher educational institutions this new smart applications to support 8 the distance learning during Covid-19 pandemic" is missing the verb.

Try to define yourself against similar studies that have taken place in other countries. I consider this to be a necessary addition.

Highlighting the importance of distance education, this study examines the factors that impact the adoption of mobile learning in Saudi higher education. This is a good study that shows where and how the adoption of mobile-assisted distance education could improve Saudi higher education and how the framework applies to that context. I have a few concerns though.

This paper is full of language-related problems and needs to be fully revised in terms of language. You can find flagrant mistakes in every two or three lines. So the author(s) need to revise the manuscript with regard to the language.

Authors need to provide more demographic data on participants’ age, major, gender, etc.

On page 6, the authors note that “Based on the expert feedback, we corrected all comments and then we re-sent 209 the questions for them another time.”. I believe an example of the type of feedback provided would make it easier for readers to understand the study.

I am not an expert on statistics. Other reviewers may judge this aspect of the study better. However, I believe SEM figures with metadata should be provided.
