Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The document should be significantly improved.

The proposal requires supporting the scientific innovation with a state-of-the-art section (section 2) that warns publications between 2022 and 2019 that the objectives set out in the present work have not been resolved.

Scientific references should come from Sciencedirect, MDPI, Taylor & Francis, Wiley, Springer, SAGE, and IEEE only from Journals, Magazines, and Transactions.

Metrics in Matlab should be achieved with the command: "print -dpdf -r800 figure1" to avoid the grid color of the borders.

Figure 2 is suggested to be eliminated and replaced by a conceptual figure that identifies the problem and the solution in the form of an infographic.

The structure of the document should be changed to

  1. - Introduction,
  2. - Related Work,
  3. - Problem Formulation and Methodology (Table of variables, mathematical model, pseudocode),
  4. - analysis of Results (performance metrics of the proposal),
  5. - Conclusions (Relate the research objectives with the metrics achieved).
  6. - References (last four years).

It is suggested to use Overleaf as a word processor to improve the document's quality.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper deals with life prediction methods for electricity meters and the topic is interesting and worthy of investigation. However, the manuscript is very difficult to read due to the English language used which is not fully adequate for a scientific journal(what is the sense of the statement "weather will change greatly with the weather"???). A careful revision by a native English speaker is warmly suggested.

On the technical hand, it is not clear frome the reading, if this a novel method or the application of a consolidated one. For a research paper, the novelty of the applied method should be higlighted, otherwise this is a mere exercise. Authors should punctually descibe the novelty of their work.

Some references seem to be reported in the text without brackets and figures and tables are not always introduced in the text before they appear. In particular, table 1 and table 2 shows a very uneffective format. In table 3 the scientific notation  used is not appropriate  and b2 term is written in a wrong manner.

What do the authors mean for "the threshold 1 of metering error of meters is 0.2%"?

Round 2

Reviewer 1 Report

It is recommended that the figures be in color.

You can also make the graphs directly from Overleaf http://pgfplots.sourceforge.net/gallery.html

It is recommended that section #3 be titled Problem Formulation and Methodology. This section should contain the table of variables of the mathematical model, the mathematical model, and the algorithm's Pseudocode.

It is recommended to make a conceptual graph at the top of page 2 to show the problem and its possible solution.
